A Day in the City

Mike and I ditched the kids this morning and hopped the train for downtown DC. Actually, we stopped first at the airport so I could cash in my free ticket on USAir. I'm booked to go see my family in February. Yay!
Even though it was very cold, we walked around for about an hour, then we toured the DAR Museum. We walked past the Washington Monument and the White House and caught the train to Crystal City, which I previously knew only as a stop on the Metro Blue Line. It was a pretty cool mall. We had lunch and zoomed back home. Love that train!
Tonight, Mike and Zak are having a 'boys night' and watching as many of the Rocky movies as they can hold their eyes open for. Zak got Mike the whole set of five movies for Christmas. Aly and I will be making them popcorn and smoothies for snacks.
I was hoping to scrap, but I've lost my mojo. I've been sorting pictures the last couple of weekends, and have found some great memories, but I just can't seem to work up a page. Maybe I should start with the supplies and find a picture to match?
Or maybe I'll spend the evening in jammies watching COPS with a smoothie of my own. heh heh heh
