Checkin' innnnnn....
When Jamie was little, she got to ride her bike in the street as long as she "checked in" with Mom on a regular basis. That meant as she sped past the house, she would yell through the screen door "Checkin' innnn!!"
So I thought I should check in, so's ya know I'm still riding around out here. With Mike's coaching and preaching in high gear, we've barely seen each other. I'm the one watching the monkeys, feeding them and keeping them clean. Cleanliness and nutrition are highly overrated in my book. Speaking of books, I finished Harry Potter in a day and a half, and loved it! I can't wait to unpack the rest of the series and start reading them all over again.
The week coming up will be even worse for family time. I am in the office tomorrow and then downtown Tues, Wed and Thurs. We'll be having team dinners Tues and Thurs so I won't be getting in till late (around 10pm). I'm hoping to take Friday off as a flex day, but I say that almost every week and it never really happens. Another thing I say every week that never happens: working the weekends. I guess that is a good thing, since I work 50-55 hrs during the regular work week. It's nice to completely disengage from work on the weekends (hey, I took the kids to the pool yesterday and what fun! I wish I would have done it all summer). So I always stop working on Friday thinking, "Ah, I'll do that last thing on Saturday." On Saturday, I think, "Hey, I won't have anything to do on Sunday afternoon." On Sunday, the nap takes over and then COPS comes on. Yes, I could work during COPS. But, I never do. So here we are at nearly 11pm on Sunday, and I have three things I *had* to get done before Monday morning that are not even close. But I'm tired. And I have an early morning tomorrow.
Eh, it'll wait. Nite nite termites!

Glad you popped in with an update. I was starting to wonder what happened to you!
I can just imagine it so clear in my mind - the ride down that little street and the yelling at your mother. thanks for the laugh!
Nothing to do with your post, but I'm glad you bought the magic bullet. I still think I may.
