The Glasses are in!

Aly is so excited. She can see so much better! She is reading signs from far away and everything is clear. From the moment she put them on, she was squealing with delight. All the way home, she read street signs. We will definitely not have a problem with her remembering to wear them either.
I feel like a horrible mother for waiting this long! Just for the record, she did go to the eye doctor two years ago and he pronounced her vision 20/20. He was wrong. We took her because she said things were blurry. How awful to not be able to see!! But we did get a clear bill of health. Besides being nearsighted (right? she can't see far away), her eyes are otherwise healthy.

As a PS, Aly stayed home from school today with a slight fever. She had a headache, some body aches. She's much better this evening. I don't think we can keep her away from school in these new glasses. She didn't tell anyone she was getting them so they're in for a big surprise!

I can't see the picture of your DH though, did he get on here and take it down?
Beautiful... it's amazing the difference a pair of reading glasses make - I got my new ones a few weeks back, and didn't realise how bad my eyes had got. Hope you;re OK :)
She looks so cute! Glad she didn't give you any problems and that she likes wearing them. :)
