Merry Christmas
We had a wonderful holiday, and hope you did too.
Christmas Eve was spent doing last minute errands and planning for church service the next day. Aunt Darlene invited us over, but we had too much to do!
Christmas morning, the kids got up just before 7:00. Actually, Zak was awake at 6:11 and walked Scrappy, who would not pee for Mike. He went back to bed and waited patiently for 6:43, when I finally woke up Aly, who wanted to sleep just 5 more minutes. She's definitely not a morning person.
The frenzy began. Aly's big gift was a digital camera, while Zak got Game Boy Advance SP. We went to church at 10 and came back to open the stockings. We had the kids put their pajamas back on, mess up their hair and get in bed while we made snacks (cheese, lil smokies, ham, cookies), then they came down and had Christmas morning, Part 2.
What a great morning!
My presents:
a homemade "Momma Comma" sweatshirt
the first two seasons of Moonlighting on DVD
CDs: Amy Grant Christmas, Amy Grant Hymns, Mahalia Jackson
Su doku puzzle books & calendar
calendar pages for my day planner
S is for Silence, by Sue Grafton
hoodie sweatshirt (so big and comfy)
Garfield sleep pants that say 'got milk?'
socks -- soft, furry footie socks
socks -- trouser socks
and more socks -- Mike found socks with built in arch support!
metallic wipe off boards for the wall over my scrapbook cabinet
Garfield stool for sitting at the scrap table
Scrapbook Answers magazine -- this is brand new and comes with a CD ROM loaded with fun stuff in every issue. Mike also ordered a subscription
Now, I should mention that BEFORE Christmas, I got a new leather coat, a Pittsburgh Penguins hockey jersey and a WKU sweatshirt. Mike also got me a little cat statue from Gatlinburg that looks like Minny Kitty.
Did I mention I'm spoiled?
