I was sick!
It is the week of the monthly briefing to the client, so back to DC on the dreaded 6am flight out of Evansville on Tuesday. I hadn't been feeling so great over the weekend, or on Monday, but I didn't think I was sick. I was. It was as we decended into Cincinatti that my ears began to scream in pain. And then again as we decended into DC. I made it through Tuesday okay, but I woke up at 4am Wednesday with a horrible head cold. Since I didn't want to spread the germs, I worked from the hotel room that day -- calling in to the four and a half hour meeting.
Dayquil. I love Dayquil.
My flight was oversold on Thursday, but I got the last seat. The one that is right behind the kitchen, with no storage space. It's okay, I had a great book to keep me company. It kept me giggling too. At one point I was in tears from laughing so hard. My seat mates would have asked to be reseated if there were any other place to sit.
So, I made it home, and besides that whole sick thing, this was a pretty good trip. Maybe my luck is turning :knocksfuriouslyonwood:
