A real mom.
That's what I'm feeling like.
All week, Mike has been gone and I have been working a zillion hours at work. I felt like a failure as a mom. The kids ate take out and cereal and whatever Zak cooked.
But on Thursday, despite having a migraine and leaving work early, I went to Aly's band concert.
And on Friday, we went to the staff vs. 6th grade volleyball game and I worked the concession stand.
Then Saturday, we cleaned house - like washed the rugs and fluffed pillows and decluttered. I can see the dining room table top! And we were done before 1pm. We ordered pizza and pasta for dinner.
Today, I finally got all of the Christmas stuff back in the attic, and carried 'yard sale' stuff to the basement. Now, we are off to dinner at the Mexican restaurant.
I don't always feel like a mom, but the last four days have been very cool.
I could totally do this all the time.
