Retro Post: Tough Day
The morning of Thursday 9/8 was tough for Nana. This was the day after her second chemo treatment and her hair was definitely coming out. She started wearing scarves and hats and one of my friends in Boonville brought her a wig catalog and some wigs to try. It was hard the rest of the week with barfing and losing hair, but she's a trooper! By Wednesday 9/14 she sounded much better, and she just spent several hours today 9/17 at the old house, packing more boxes.
What a woman!!
PS, if you are a health care professional in oncology/hematology, being cavalier about losing one's hair is NOT the way to go with someone just starting chemo. Use your brain and have a heart, would you!?
