Last Day of School
Today was the kids' last day of school. Aly was a little sad that she was leaving WSES and said she wished she didn't have to wait till September to start the 5th grade. She got her report card -- a B in reading this quarter, and one B in gym for the year. Yay, girl!
Zak's school doesn't trust the teenager to bring the report card home, so they'll be mailed next week. He knows he has at least 2 A and one B+. He went to the last school dance and then a party at one of his friend's houses.
Summer plans are underway. We're counting the days until we leave to meet Nana and Pawpaw in West Virginia. The kids will spend two weeks there and we'll drive all the way to Indiana for Independence Day. I think there are some trips to amusement parks planned for next week while I'm in Florida, and they both have dentist appointments. The doggies are getting a haircut before they go (Aly and Zak both had haircuts last week).
Somehow I don't think the summer is going to be any less busy than the school year.
